Dear Gen-We...Just a little advise from one too old to be considered a "Baby Boomer". The generations preceding yours (including my own) had the opportunity, but failed dismally. Mr. Obama pounced onto the world stage with what looked like great promise...change was in the air. But the wind was blowing in the other direction, and change has turned into more of the same. The old guard is still too deeply entrenched. Big money, big business and big insurance still run this country, and Obama is caving in. His rhetoric is still strong, but empty. The advise? If you are serious about bringing about change get politically active early while you ar still young. Purge our governing bodies of all of the "old school" politicians, instal leaders of your own choosing and give them all of the support they will need to defeat the powerful corporate interests standing in the way of "real" progress. The leaders we have today are failing us. You may be our last hope.

"Given the scale of the proposed solution, this is an impressive response to which national leaders must pay attention."

To my way of thinking this statement spells failure to the Gen-We movement. To look to `national leaders' (who I assume you to mean those in the political driver's seat today) would be a waste of time. It is these national leaders and all those that preceded them that has created the situation confronting you. To make any positive and decisive change YOU will have to initiate the ACTION if you want anything of real substance to ever materialize. Face it the national leaders you look to are dismal failures in getting any thing that resembles positive solution to the problems that face not only the US but the globe as a whole.
